Company History

RDP was founded in 2000 specifically to design and manufacture our own range of healthcare hardware for the UK market. This led to RDP being the first company in the UK to provide powered carts designed purposely for PC use in healthcare environments.

What we do

RDP prides itself on being truly customer focused, designing products specifically to meet the needs of our customers. By designing and manufacturing products that customers tell us they need, we have grown organically to become the leading manufacturer of mobile carts in the UK and are considered to be the mobile specialist. Always innovating, here at RDP we are on a constant quest for excellence, we never stand still. The technology, aesthetics and useability of our carts are always under perpetual scrutiny. Our latest range of carts are the result of this scrutiny.

 

RDP have over 20 years’ experience in delivering IT projects into hospitals. During that time, we have led on a multitude of large scale successful projects, most recently at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust where we delivered over 1200 mobile carts in addition to their existing fleet of RDP carts.

 

Between 2017-2022, RDP have also successfully delivered on large scale projects at Royal Free, Surrey & Sussex, Royal Surrey, Ashford & St Peters, Royal Berkshire, 800 EPMA carts to Barts Health and  during the Covid pandemic 3500 Nightingale carts to NHS England. RDP currently have over 21,000 RDP mobile carts in service throughout the UK, Ireland, Europe and the USA.

Sustainability

Sustainability drives everything we do at RDP. We have been designing and manufacturing medical carts and computer trollies since 2000 and we continue to innovate and push ourselves towards a sustainable future.

Pre-sales service

We offer a comprehensive pre-sales service including demonstrations and training on the use of our carts. Trial carts can be provided for evaluation with no fixed return dates. Additional support from other suppliers within the printing and scanning sectors can also be arranged.

Post-sales service & On-site 5 year warranty

We provide In-depth rollout scheduling and fitting of IT equipment provided by the trust at our facilities at no additional cost. 

Comprehensive no-quibble on-site 5 year warranty comes as standard for our complete range of carts. A member of our in-house service team will be dedicated to the site and early days triage training is also included ensuring minimal unnecessary downtime.
