Wall Security Bracket

Where regulations exist for securing a mobile cart to a fixed point, all Clinical Carts feature an in-built anchoring mechanism which prevents the unit from being removed by any unauthorised users. The Clinical Cart can only be released from its anchoring point once the door has been opened by using the key code lock.

The kit which includes the wall anchor point and anti-theft cable is supplied as an option.

Patient Notes

The Clinical Cart can be fitted with a pullout frame which can support up to 10 patient files that can be securely locked away when not in use.

If fitted with standard A4 suspension hangers, additional storage trays can still be fitted to the cart, either above or below the notes storage.

The suspension hangers are manufactured from easy to clean, high strength PVC with stainless steel mounting bars.

If additional notes storage is required, a simple attachment to the side of the Clinical Cart enables further accommodation for patient notes files. The attachment shown below is designed for A3 suspension files, allowing notes and X-Rays to be kept in the Clinical Cart.

Although securely attached and lockable, the side-mounted box can be removed by the users, should such extra capacity be only occasionally required.

Keyboard/Notes Tray

For Laptop or Panel PC users, the Clinical Cart can be fitted with a retractable keyboard tray, leaving the main work-surface completely free for paperwork or as an area for preparing medication.

Sharps Bins

RDP Health have a range of brackets for supporting various types and sizes of sharps bins. These are clipped on to the side of the Clinical Carts, which allows them to be purchased and quickly retrofitted in the field without the need for a visit by one of our engineers.

Printer Mounting

The Clinical Cart can accommodate various makes and models of label/barcode printers. Please contact us to discuss any particular models which you may need to mount onto the cart and our design engineers will find the best bespoke solution for you.

Insert Trays

As standard, the Clinical Cart is supplied with 3 x single ABS storage trays and 1 x double ABS storage tray. Where more defined storage is required, RDP Health can provide insert trays to divide up the storage area into more manageable compartments.

For Small Form Factor PC

For PC users, the Clinical Cart can support all makes and models of Small Form Factor (SFF) PC and Ultra-Small Form Factor (USFF/USDT) PC. The computer is securely housed and well ventilated under the worksurface, but still allows access to the PC for turning on and off. The monitor is positioned on the VESA 100 compliant post.

For Clinical Workstation

For the ultimate infection control mobile solution, the Clinical Cart can be fitted with the ultra low power consumption 19" Panel PC or the new 22" Wide Screen Panel PC.

Using our own Panel PCs on the Clinical Cart has several practical advantages:

• The overall weight of the Clinical Cart is reduced and is therefore more manoeuvrable
• The low power consumption extends run times to approximately 10 hours
• It allows for the inclusion of an additional pullout shelf, liberating the main work surface for paperwork

For Laptop

For laptop users, the Clinical Cart can support all makes and models of 15" - 17" laptops. The laptop is securely held in place by steel retainers.

Underneath the work surface is a pullout work surface allowing the user space to view notes/files or as a writing surface. This smoothly slides away when not in use.

For infection control, an additional anti-microbial membrane cover plate is available. This universal plate is available for both 15" and 17" laptops.

Custom Solutions

The Clinical Cart is one of our most flexible mobile cart products, which can be adapted for use as an e-prescribing cart, a phlebotomy cart, a patient notes cart, or a hybrid of these functions.

For some of our customers, the standard range of accessories still does not give the desired solution, and we have designed significant modifications to the product to cope with their needs.

Below are some of the custom mobile cart solutions that we have already supplied.

Extended Notes Capacity

Our customer requested 10 x A3 size suspension hangers in the cart, with the option of a lockable side mounted box to carry a further five suspension hangers.

The product was designed so that the side box and internal hangers can quickly and easily be removed in the future, once the need has passed to transport this quantity of documentation.

Replacing the hanger assembly with our conventional drawers allows this cart to be transformed into a cart more suitable for e-prescribing or phlebotomy applications, without the need for it being returned to the factory for upgrade.

Clinical Cart with Twin 19" Displays & A4 LaserJet Printer

Our customer requested a dual display cart with the ability to house a standard A4 desktop printer.

The door of the cart was removed reducing both weight and cost and there was still enough room inside the cart to mount a shallow pullout tray.
